I learned of Philadelphia's ban on single-use plastic bags while helping my mom care for her mom. When she voiced concern about being able to work while caretaking, I asked God for a business idea using the skills and equipment I already had.

My mother and grandmother are bag ladies, and when the ban began, I too would need a bag for groceries, shopping, etc. So I created a brand that matched my minimal, modern design maxim. The goal was to furnish people with a bag they liked so they'd remember to take and use it. And soon, it became #morethanabag.
